About
Brooke Brown Barzun is a sculptor based in New York, where she is a graduate student at the New York Studio School.
Trained as a therapist with a specialization in art therapy, she spent many years working with art and artists, curating contemporary exhibitions in Stockholm and London and helping lead cultural institutions, including the Speed Art Museum in Louisville. She has since returned to making art herself.
Her sculptures, primarily in clay, explore the tension between what we reveal of ourselves and what remains hidden, even from ourselves.
